  1. Pencil Control is designed for pre-school and reception year children. It introduces children to drawing patterns that will help with the later formation of letters and numbers.

  3. Learn to Write is suitable for children 4-7 years (Key Stage 1). The practice book includes 2 double-sided templates. The first template features upper and lower case letters, with second template groups lower case letters into 4 groups determined by the way they are formed and features lower case letters with exit strokes to assist in the later transition to joined-up writing.
  4. Cursive Handwriting assists older children with the transition from print to joined-up handwriting to ensure children can write with speed. The practice book includes letter templates showing exit strokes, joined letter sequences and high frequency words.

Learn to Write Ruling System®

The Learn to Write and Cursive Handwriting practice books feature the unique Learn to Write Ruling System®.

The house symbol helps children associate ascending and descending letter shapes with the locations in a house or building. For example, to draw an ascending letter, such as 'd', the stalk of the letter is drawn by moving up the ladder into the roof or attic.
