Run a Local Interest Group

The development of local NHA groups has been on our agenda for sometime. We set up a prototype in Rugby many years ago, which you may like to read more about.

  • It would be a way of establishing an ongoing exchange of ideas and information with and through the national committee.
  • It would encourage local inter-professional collaboration.
  • It would be a creative and effective way of promoting our aims and keeping in touch with our members.

Anyone interested in setting one up should email Ann Markee for support and information.

Oxford Handwriting Interest Group

Anna Barnett

This group was formally launched in February 2012. We aim to provide a forum for the discussion of local issues concerning the teaching and learning of handwriting in children and adults, with a focus on inter-disciplinary cooperation. We plan to organise regular events in and around Oxford to share good practice and address the needs of local people.

We welcome ideas for future events and offers of help to organise and host these. Do get in touch if you wish to be on our mailing list to hear about our activities.

Organising group: Nicki Wise (Teacher), Judith Griffin (Occupational Therapist), Tracy Pedersen (Occupational Therapist), Mellissa Prunty (Occupational Therapist/Research Student), Anna Barnett (Reader in Psychology).
