We promote a series of publications written by our experts. Many are free to download for members.

Institution Membership

NHA Membership for an Institution

Membership for an Institution (£30 p.a.; or £25 p.a. by Standing Order). This is for schools, hospitals and libraries etc and gives you:

  • A welcome pack containing information about the Association and its activities along with 2 copies of 'Hands up for Handwriting', a set of enjoyable preparatory handwriting exercises for use with any age group.
  • 2 copies of our annual journal 'Handwriting Today' giving ongoing research, reports of good practice in schools, reviews of books and materials, reports on conferences and much more.
  • The NHA email newsletter 'Write' four times a year giving up-to date news and information.
  • The option to download free copies of all the titles in the 'Tips for Teaching' series and also 'Hands up for Handwriting.'
  • Advanced notice of NHA courses, conferences and workshops. These range from practical bespoke sessions to formal University level, accredited courses*.
  • Priority in receiving in-service training for staff
  • An invitation to a special Members' Day in March.
  • Access to many articles published in the NHA Journal. The journal has been published every year since 1987 so there is a wealth of information in the archive.
  • Access to reviews of resources previously published in recent journals

And allows all employees/ members of the school, clinic etc to obtain:

  • A discount of 40% on all NHA. NHA publish practical booklets and leaflets for professionals working in both education and health, and for parents.
  • A discount of 40% on NHA courses, conferences and workshops. These range from practical bespoke sessions to formal University level, accredited courses*.
  • Opportunity to join NHA 'Register of Handwriting Tutors'. Applicants must have the relevant qualifications and CRB clearance.

* This excludes the accredited course when held at the London Institute of Education but may apply at other locations.
